Biking on Manitoulin Island, ON

We passed the Ten Mile Point outlook on the way to the campground and decided we would bike back up the hill later and have a picnic lunch there. The bikes have been a great addition. We are able to add a little more exercise into our days and tour around the campgriounds and surrounding bike trails.  We climbed the hill and then coasted along beside the local farms.

The outlook proved well worth the ride.

We enjoy our picnic lunches. In Paris we would purchase a baget, bottle of wine, selection of cheeses, and some chutney, put it in the back pack and stop at some park for a lovely lunch. Today we skipped the wine and opted for water to rehydrate and relaxed under a shade tree beside the outlook.

Some of the locals found us quite interesting.

We thought these were the largest dandelions we had ever seen but they were not. If you know what they are please comment below, so we will all know.

Split rail fence beside the road.

The day was almost perfect, blue skies, big clouds, cool breeze, great scenery, wonderful companion, and only one hill. -L
